Company History
Ulrich Lumber was founded in 1923 by Arthur M. Ulrich. Mark C. Roose purchased the Company in 1927 from the Ulrich family. Ulrich continues to be owned and operated by the Roose family at the same location. The Company was incorporated in 1934, and presently employs 21 people.

The Management and Employees of Ulrich strive to build long-lasting relationships, not only with customers; but also within the Company. We stress the USE OF TEAMWORK so that we can better serve our customers and guarantee each job is done to satisfaction.
SAFETY is a key issue. Ulrich has an elected Safety Committee made up of Representatives from three areas of the Company (yard, office, and management). This Committee meets monthly to examine any safety issue facing the Company. Monthly employee safety classes are provided on a variety of topics such as vehicle safety, health maintenance, and stress management.
An important part of service is to offer QUICK, EFFICIENT DELIVERY. We can provide same-day delivery or reserve a delivery date per your request. Our central location helps make this possible through easy access to major metropolitan area freeways such as 1-696, I- 75, 1-94, M-53, and M-59.
Ulrich Lumber has nurtured LONG-TERM Relationships with many of our customers during our entire 82 year history. As a result, we are better able to be responsive to their current and future needs. A good reference or word-of-mouth is our best advertisement!
